Barbaros Yet, Short Course: Bayesian Data Analysis with PyMC

This short course aims to teach basic ideas about Bayesian models and their application to data analysis. We will use Python’s pymc package and build regression models using Bayesian workflow. The course is suitable for anyone familiar with the Python programming language and has knowledge about probability distributions. Bio:

Barbaros Yet is an associate professor and head of the Cognitive Science department at the Graduate School of Informatics, Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Türkiye. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London. He is interested in probabilistic machine learning, Bayesian approaches and preference learning. He likes to conduct interdisciplinary and collaborative research and applies his research to improve decisions in healthcare and sport sciences.
