Short bio

Oguzhan Ekizoglu is a medical doctor, graduate of the University of Istanbul, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (2004). He completed his residency in Forensic Medicine at the Department of Forensic Medicine of the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (2009). He is currently associate professor of department in Forensic Medicine at the Health Sciences University, Tepecik Training and Research Hospital and also consultant of the Child Protection Center of Izmir, Ministry of Health. He is also a researcher of research unit of Forensic Imaging and Anthropology, University of Geneva, Switzerland and Phd candidate. He is a board member of Forensic Anthropology Society of Europe (FASE) from 2019 to now.

His researches focus on radiological methods of age estimation on the living individuals, virtual methods of biological profiling, forensic traumatology and neuroscience. Oguzhan Ekizoglu has authored 82 publications and book chapters especially focused on age and sex estimation and his h-index is 19.
