Short bio

Michael is a Mechanical Engineer employed as teaching staff at the Medical School, University of Crete. He holds a Doctorate degree in Computer Engineering and Informatics, a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology. In the past he has worked as an Associate Lecturer for the Department of Informatics Engineering at the Technological Educational Institution of Crete. He has been with the Research Academic Computer Technology Institute and Press "Diophantus" as an IT Researcher / Engineer and for the software industry as a JAVA Enterprise Edition Programmer. During the last years, Michael has been deploying innovative clinical information systems such as Ippasos, the first forensic information and management system in Greece. Part of his work has been published in international journals and conferences.
