Short bio

Dr Primeau is as an assistant professor of forensic imaging with the University of Warwick, UK, where she conducts forensic post-mortem micro-CT imaging. She has a BSc in Forensic Anthropology, a MSc in Human Identification, a MSc in Diagnostic Radiography, a PhD in Forensic Medicine and Anthropology and a PGCert in Forensic Radiography. She is a certified forensic anthropologist (level FAIII) in the UK, with the RAI and a licensed radiographer in the UK with the HCPC. Dr Primeau is a committee member with the UK branch of the International Association of Forensic Radiographers (IAFR). Dr Primeau serves as a reviewer for several journals and is on the International Advisory Panel and Editorial Board for the Journal of Radiography, helping to direct the journal’s content and ensuring relevance to the international radiography workforce. She is on the Research Steering Committee for the International Society of Radiographers & Radiological Technologists (ISRRT). She has authored numerous scientific journal papers on a range of topics, including radiography, biological anthropology, human osteoarchaeology and forensic science. Her research interests include growth, development, skeletal health, and understanding circumstances around the time of death and post-mortem treatment. Her research is particularly focussed on child and vulnerable adult abuse.
