Panagiotis Papadakos

Panagiotis Papadakos (PhD in Computer Science) is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Information Systems Laboratory, Institute of Computer Science, FORTH-ICS. His research focuses on information retrieval, large language models (LLMs) and generative AI, dialogue systems, and the Semantic Web, with applied work on exploratory search, misinformation detection, and bias and fairness in online information systems. He has extensive experience in numerous European and national research projects, including participation in the flagship EU AI4EU project, where he contributed to the design and development of large-scale AI platforms. He also has extensive teaching experience at the University of Crete, having served as a visiting lecturer in the Computer Science Department from 2015 to 2021, delivering undergraduate and graduate courses in Web Programming and Information Retrieval, as well as Advanced Information Retrieval with a focus on NLP, deep learning, and dialogue systems.
