Professor and Director of Optics Laboratory, EPFL. He joined EPFL in 2007, as Dean of School of Engineering, (2007 -2016). Former positions: Director, DARPA Center for Optofluidic Integration, (2004-2008). Thomas G. Myers, Professor of Electrical Engineering, California Institute of Technology, (1996 –2008). Visiting Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2003-2004). Director, National Science Foundation Center for Neuromorphic Systems Engineering, California Institute of Technology, (1996 –1999).Prof. Psaltis is recognized for his pioneering research holographic storage and optical information processing, photonics and optofluidics engineering and biophotonics. He is an author of >500 publications in refereed journals, >29 book chapters/edited books, and >78 patent/disclosure applications and has mentored more than 60 Ph.D. and postdoctoral scholars. His work has been cited >35,000 times and has an h-index of 92.
