Katerina Nikiforaki is a collaborating researcher at Computational BioMedicine Laboratory (CBML) of Institute of Computer Science at Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH). She received the B.Sc. degree in Physics, in 2003, from the University Of Crete, the M.Sc. degree in Medical Physics in 2005, and completed her PhD degree from Medical School, University of Crete, in 2020. She joined the ICS-FORTH in 2014, as a medical physicist. She has participated in a number of  National and European research projects focusing on the analysis of multi-scale medical data, development of quantitative imaging biomarkers and predictive modeling. Her expertise is mainly in advanced MRI acquisition protocols, MR imaging quality assurance as well as medical image quantification and post-processing.
