Writing Guidelines

While specific formatting guidelines for this MSc programme are not provided, you can refer to the general thesis writing guidelines from other departments within the University of Crete:​

  • Language: English
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 3.8 cm on the left and 2.5 cm on the top, bottom, and right
  • Paper Size: A4 (21 x 29.7 cm)

Learning Outcomes

As part of the Completion Exercise for the Master’s of Science, students  should write and present their Master’s Thesis. Students should defend a thesis on their research as early as possible, preferably in summer after their first year in the program. Their thesis advisor (chair of your committee) should approve their thesis title. The work has to be approved by all members of their committee.
