Syllabus

The student prepares a research protocol in which he presents the research case or the research questions he proposes to investigate and how he will answer them, analyzing the following individual points:

• Title of the work
• Object of his research, intended results
• Already existing knowledge
• Purpose and individual objectives of the work
• Methodology, proposed analysis the data
• Timeline and funding sources (if required)
• Bibliography

Postgraduate students submit the Research Protocol according to the template given by the Secretariat of the MSc.

Learning Outcomes

As part of the Completion Exercise for the Master’s of Science, students  should write and present their Master’s Thesis. Students should defend a thesis on their research as early as possible, preferably in summer after their first year in the program. Their thesis advisor (chair of your committee) should approve their thesis title. The work has to be approved by all members of their committee.
